CULINARY EXPERIENCE

Napa Valley’s rich culinary landscape comes to life at A Weekend in Napa, where award-winning chefs present signature dishes that celebrate the region’s fresh ingredients and timeless culinary traditions. From thoughtfully curated Maestro Dinners to vibrant offerings in The Bocelli Village, each menu reflects the artistry and passion of the chefs behind it. Whether you’re indulging in a Michelin-starred tasting menu or savoring artisan charcuterie before the show, this weekend invites you to explore Napa’s flavors in unforgettable ways.

Chef Rogelio Garcia / Auro

Chef Rogelio Garcia achieved Michelin stars at Auro in both 2023 and 2024. Known for his innovative approach to Mexican cuisine, Garcia seamlessly blends his rich heritage with Napa Valley’s seasonal bounty. His artistry was further recognized as he competed on Top Chef Season 15 and earned the distinction of being a semifinalist for Best Chef: California from the James Beard Foundation. At Auro, Garcia redefines Mexican cuisine with a modern, sophisticated flair that highlights the finest ingredients Napa Valley has to offer, making Auro the only Michelin-starred restaurant in Calistoga.

Dedicated to inspiring the next generation, Garcia often shares his story with students, motivating them to pursue their dreams and reminding them of the importance of resilience. His career includes working at renowned establishments such as The French Laundry and Cyrus, experiences that continue to shape him.

Chef Philip Tessier / PRESS Restaurant

PRESS Restaurant celebrates Napa Valley — the people, the ingredients, and the wines. PRESS is a place for locals, winemakers, vintners, and guests from around the world to experience the best the Napa Valley has to offer — it’s this sense of community that is at the heart of everything PRESS does. Under the leadership of Samantha Rudd and Chef Philip Tessier, PRESS features legendary Bay Area purveyors alongside innovative new culinary talents to highlight Napa Valley cuisine. The PRESS Culinary Team draws inspiration from around the globe while staying rooted in the style and ingredients that make the Napa Valley so special.

Chef Elliot Bell / Charlie's

Elliot Bell is the chef and owner of Charlie’s in St. Helena, a family-run, community-focused, neighborhood restaurant with generational goals, named after his son.

Originally from New Zealand, Bell’s culinary influences and inspiration span some of the world’s greatest dining destinations — France, Japan, Napa Valley, and New York. His restaurant career began with dishwashing and cooking positions in the small Iowa town where he grew up, and eventually led him to study hospitality management at the University of New Hampshire and the Glion Institute of Higher Education in Switzerland.

Most recently, he served as the Executive Sous Chef at Thomas Keller’s The French Laundry, where he spent the past decade of his career. Prior to that, he worked in Boston, Seattle, and New York at several notable restaurants, including Danny Meyer’s Gramercy Tavern.

Bocelli's Pizza

Experience a Margherita like never before. Baked at 750 degrees for the perfect char, this pizza showcases the debut of Bocelli’s Roasted Cherry Tomato Sauce — a velvety, slow-roasted masterpiece that sings with every bite.

Ohm Coffee Roasters

Derek, a lifelong foodie with a background as a sommelier, dot-com founder, wine group CMO, consultant, and lead guitarist, eventually returned to his first love—coffee—by launching Ohm Coffee Roasters in the North Bay. Drawing on his deep experience in wine and hospitality, Derek was inspired by a formative lecture from Dr. Illy and a revelatory Blue Bottle cappuccino, which set him on a path of complete immersion into the world of specialty coffee. He gave Ohm a rock ‘n’ roll edge, blending his passions for coffee and music under one roof.

Ohm Coffee Roasters embraces a balanced approach to roasting—eschewing extremes in favor of nuance. Rather than adhering strictly to the light roast trends of the Third Wave movement, Derek sought a middle path: roasting just enough to develop the beans’ natural sugars without masking their origin character. It’s a philosophy rooted in experience, taste, and the belief that the best results often come from the gray area between opposing styles.

Georgia’s Ice Cream Cart

Georgia’s is a recently unveiled ice cream cart owned by acclaimed local chef Elliot Bell (Charlie’s), known for his inventive use of seasonal ingredients. The cart serves modern takes on classic ice cream bars—think the Chucko Taco (named after Elliot’s son, Charlie), or the Winnie Bar, a grown-up version of a Whoopie Pie Ice Cream Sandwich. With chef-level creativity and a street-food vibe, each bar is a nostalgic treat with a gourmet twist.
